MackGraphe participates in an European Commission approved Horizon 2020 project

MackGraphe will participate in the European commission approved project “Multifunctional Graphene-based Nanocomposites with Robust Electromagnetic and Thermal Properties for 3D-printing Application (Graphene 3D)”, which has a 4 years duration starting officially this month, January 2017, as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) - Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) - H2020-MSCA-RISE-2016 call.

The Project will form a consortium involving 7 research groups from European Union member countries (including 2 companies) and 3 research groups from non-member countries. This initiative is part of the European Commission’s (EC) science and technology investment strategy, seeking for international cooperation formation and students/researchers improvement through international research experiences. Within the project’s duration MackGraphe will host (for periods between a month and a year) ~30 researchers (including PhD candidates, postdocs and professors), with their travel, subsistence and research expenses covered by the EC (by Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowships), expanding MackGraphe’s international cooperation and, consequently, contributing with its research environment internationalization.

The project’s kickoff meeting will be carried out at the EC building in Brussels – Belgium, where MackGraphe will be represented by prof. Ricardo Donato.
